Regarding the Russia-Ukraine war, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has clearly stated that war, under no circumstances, can be a solution to any problem. Both countries should find a path to resolution through dialogue. India on Tuesday expressed deep concern over Israel’s recent attack in Doha and strongly condemned the violation of Qatar’s sovereignty.
India’s representative to the United Nations, Arindam Bagchi, stated that India firmly believes that disagreements should be resolved peacefully through dialogue and diplomacy, in full accordance with the principles of the UN Charter and international law. Last week, Israel launched an attack in Doha, the capital of Qatar. Israel claimed that the attack targeted Hamas leadership.
Israel has long accused Qatar of harboring Hamas leaders. Arindam Bagchi said that India is deeply concerned about the recent attack in Doha and its impact on the regional security situation. We strongly condemn the violation of Qatar’s sovereignty. Such actions endanger peace, stability, and security not only in this region but across the entire world.
Arindam Bagchi informed the UN Human Rights Council that India firmly believes that disagreements should be resolved peacefully through dialogue and diplomacy, in full accordance with the principles of the UN Charter and international law. He stated that India stands firmly in support of maintaining peace and stability in the region and against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
He further added that any escalation of tension should be avoided, and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states should be maintained. India’s representative to the UN, Bagchi, said that we strongly urge restraint and diplomacy to ensure peace and security in the region, and stated that there should be no compromise on this.

Prime Minister Modi wrote on X that he had spoken with Qatar’s Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and expressed deep concern over the attack in Doha. India condemns the violation of the sovereignty of the brotherly state of Qatar.

Israel launched an airstrike targeting Hamas leadership in Doha, code-named ‘Summit of Fire’. Doha was rocked by explosions. Eyewitnesses reported plumes of smoke rising in the Katara district.
Qatari officials called the operation on Hamas leaders’ hideouts a cowardly attack and warned of a dangerous escalation. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office later stated that the operation was entirely independent, conducted by the Israeli Defense Forces and Israeli security agencies.
