Wally Hammond set this record in 1946, scoring 69 runs against India in a Test match at Old Trafford, Manchester, at the age of 43 years and 31 days. Additionally, Australia’s Bob Simpson is also on the list of oldest players to score a half-century against India, achieving this feat at 41 years and 359 days old in Adelaide in 1978. Now, Aamir Kaleem’s name tops this list.

Not just in all formats of international cricket, but Aamir Kaleem has also set a new record in the T20 format. His half-century in the Asia Cup 2025 match against India in Abu Dhabi has established him as the oldest player to score a half-century against India in T20 International cricket. Mohammad Nabi (Afghanistan): Scored a half-century against Sri Lanka in the 2025 Asia Cup in Abu Dhabi at 40 years and 260 days old.

Tillakaratne Dilshan (Sri Lanka): Scored a half-century against Pakistan in Mirpur in 2016 at 39 years and 142 days old.
